Just curious, Paige...How many of each piece do you do before you settle on "the one"? I know that I used to do a number of them (4-6?) or so before I'd feel like I 'got it!' And that was on top of the roughs and any experiments I'd do.
I always start out with good intentions - I'll do a quick thumbnail, then get all excited about the subject and jump right in on the final without knowing what is going where. If it doesn't come out, I chuck it and start over. When I was doing my more detailed style, I probably did 2-3 thumbnails. I'm just not very good at thumbnail sketches. The final never seems to match the one I pick haha.
Hi Corrine! Yeah I'm in a bit of a hurry to get some pieces in my portfolio before I go on a trip next week. I want to to send out a postcard, so a portfolio refresh is probably a good idea. :)
