Pirates!

These pirate are not to be taken lightly.  They're very dangerous.  Especially the long one!
Well bad news about my new paints.  They bother my wrist.  Watercolors flow easily across the page so I don't have to do as many strokes with the brush.  Opaque paints on the other hand... ah well.  I can still use them as accents on top of my watercolors, so it's not a complete waste.  Very disappointed though.

I've mixed them with watercolor sometimes, for things I want to have a bit more opacity... but I am sorry!

sucky!
on the bright side, your sketch is nice!

This sketch is adorable! Sorry about the gouache not being a good fit. You can also water them down and use like watercolors, too.

Love it!

Paige, I love your work because of the freshness of your watercolors. The gouache was nice but it didn't sparkle like your other pieces. Gin

Thanks Gin. To be fair though, that was my first try with the paints. I was getting used to how they handled etc.

I use gouache along with watercolor and with lots and lots of water. A little dab of color mixed in one of those really tiny baby food jars(the first foods size) filled 3/4's with water. It is flatter, but it can work well in combination with watercolor. This is a really cute sketch.
