Good News!

Well sorry for the sudden slump in posts, but I have good and happy reason to be away from the ol' blog. Scholastic has offered me the job to illustrate a 12 book series - that is - 12 books in four months. My first thought was "Wow! Wonderful! Er...... Is this humanly possible?? (i.e. three books a month-whoa!)" I was also looking forward to guiding my readers through the process of a job like this, with character sketches, and reports of record breaking numbers of cups of coffee. But alas, I've been sworn to secrecy regarding any and all things related to this project. You see, I'd tell you, but then I would have to kill you. Har! I'll still have time to post my for fun stuff (I think....can't promise anything..) and of course the Illustration Fridays. So Fox In Socks will be slower, but not gone! Welp, back to work! Character sketches due Monday!

WHOOO HOOO! Congratulations! How wonderful to have such an interesting...(albeit secret) assignment. Much good luck to you... and be careful of your wrist. We still hope to see some of the little people that live on your drawing table from time to time.

As fast as you paint you should have it done in a couple months. Then you can spend the other two months just chillin and eating Bon-bons. Congrats on the job. I'm also working on some some series for Scholastic too. It's a lot of work, but it's also a lot of fun. Good luck on it--you should do great!

Busy girl! It's what you said you wanted to do (trade books), though I doubt you thought you'd have to do so many in a short amount of time! It'll be a whirl-wind and I know you'll have a blast! Congrats and enjoy!
