Okay...One More Tonight

Okay, I know I said the one below would be the last Country Cat, City Kitty entry, but I really like this one, so here is the REAL last image.

My wrists are getting better again, so comments are back up and I can reply :0) I miss reading those when they're gone!

But I´ll have to watch out for the fox... so only a quick hello! ;-)

Hi Paige, happy new blog home! I love this painting, it made me giggle. Those mice look really naughty!

Great kitty. You have such a wonderful kid friendly style. Welcome to blogger.

LOL Bea! Yes, it's a very dangerous place for a mouse right now. Although those mice above enjoy living on the edge. ;-)

Hi Lesley, thanks for the warm welcome :-D And yes they are VERY naughty - at the end of the story when the City Kitty leaves, they are seen dancing in the background LOL - that was the art director's idea, and a nice touch at that. This has been a very fun story to illustrate.

Ooooh, I like the little avatars on blogger comments-neat :)

Hi Guy, your cow icon cracks me up! Also, I noticed on blogger that they ask nonsensical questions on the profile - is that where you got your blogger title from?

I have really enjoyed these kitty illos! Hope you enjoy your new digs. I love 'free', very appealing!

Thanks Roz :0) And yes Free is VERY appealing. Especially for a 'non-rich' illustrator.

Thanks Paige. No. Actually, some friends and I were trying to come up with palindromes (spelled the same frontwards and backwards) one day and we stumbled accross "So, Cat Tacos?". I've always thought that was funny for some reason. It's become my favorite palindrome. (next to "Mom") So, when I was setting up my blog, I put "So Cat Tacos?" as a temporary title because I couldn't think of anything else and I never got around to changing it. It stuck. I kept it.

Does "Fox in Socks" have a story behind it besides Seuss?

Gosh I didn't even realize that was a palindrome - it's hilarious. Glad you stuck with it :-) I like the sketches of all the cats on your title - they each have their own distinct personality.

No, no interesting stories behind Fox And Socks other than I like drawing foxes and love the imagery it conjures up :0) My parents read a goodly amount of Suess to me when I was a kid. I loved "The Pants With Nobody Inside Them."
