Illustration Friday Theme: Strength

One of my earliest memories is of running away from a spoon full of bubble gum flavored antibiotic for a bad ear infection.

I just got a childhod flash back of the awful tasting stuff that used to curl my toes. Excellent illo. Cheers!

Why do "they" make that stuff so gross tasting? I love this illustration just in itself, but I am also admiring your little, perfect details: the tag on the pillowcase, the little drops of medicing, the quilt, his scrunched-up face. Brilliant:>

Very cute. When I was a child I always if they said it was going to taste like bubble gum they were lying.

There was an 18 month period when we almost always had a bottle of amoxocyllin (sp?) in the refrigerator. I'll have to ask my daughter if she remembers the taste. She was Soooo tiny. Then. !! Sweet image you created.
