Shiny Red Bicycle

Welp, I'm still waiting on a response from my secret submission to secret person, and while I'm waiting....I'm working on new ideas and working on improving my art and writing.  I updated my website and design/images, updated my images on the childrensillustrators.com site.  I'm trying hard as heck not be incredibly impatient and watch my e-mail while clicking 'refresh' over and over and over again.  I just want something good to happen from all of this.

Sometimes I do wish I had fallen madly in love with something more lucrative and more dependable, but this is it for me, in good times and bad.   I'm just not happy doing anything else.

Oh Paige... I know!!!!! But, I think you've got talent and such a knack for creativity as well as narrative... I really hope that all your hardwork pays off in the best of ways!!
And I love this illustration... as always! ;)

Hang in there a little longer.. I'm sure the response will arrive and I have the best hopes it will be a great one!

I completely understand you Paige. If there is one thing I don't like about this business and I honestly think is the ONLY thing I don't like about this business.. is how slow everything moves. I check emails like a crazy person, a gazillion times a day. I think Statcounter is going to send me an email one of these days asking me to please retreat myself from using their service because I am just filling their space up with so many constant visits. LOL I am totally addicted o it and will check it when I think there might be some movement from a certain house.

Try and find something else to focus your mind to. I often find that it can't be kids' book related sadly, so I obsess over other things like a tv show at times. Right now is Property Virgins. HAHA! ;o)

Hang in there sweet Paige. You are not alone. :o)

I love it how you added the turtle! Your illustrations are brilliant!

I know waiting - altough in another business. I have never known for more than one year where I work. Once I just got the notice of my new working place six weeks before - and it was so far away I had to move. And I never know what my job will be. I am doing this for more than ten years now and hey, I still did not get used to it...
