I somehow prefer the softer, broken pencil line of the lower image, but I like the composition of the upper image. I think the lower image colours might be just as lovely as the sunny upper image if they were a bit brighter - I do like the green shady bit below the tree. I prefer the boy character in the upper image, he seems younger and more playful and carefree.
