This first version is a sepia effect I found with iphoto.

This one is great! The pig's expression and body language is perfect. I like the sepia version quite a bit, I think I respond to monochrome pictures and it somehow gives it a cinematic quality. But, of course your colours are beautiful.

The sepia touch is very special, I agree. I love these fuzzy crazy runners too...they should run toward Moms...not just "run" : ) but, you know, kids will do whatever they want...

I really LOVE this one, Paige! It tells the story without any need for text at all. Your characterization is fabulous!

I have been playing with the idea of sepia in my mind for awhile now, too. I just love so many of the books where sepia is used. Check out the book "Fred Stays with Me!" by Nancy Coffelt, illustrated by Tricia Tusa. It's sepia with minimal color used with it. Really beautiful effect and a wonderful book.

Thanks very much! I'm glad it has a cinematic quality to it, that was what I was aiming for.

Phyllis I love Tusa, thanks for the recommendation on that book, I check it out!
