Just stumbled upon your blog in my cyber travels, charming stuff, you have a nice style and an intuative understanding of movement and form, I like the simple style too, its always hard to leave out the line or to get bogged down in detail in my case. best wishes
Thanks! Although there's still a lot of work to do before the painting part - I'm working on the second round of sketches, and sometimes the more you look at your work the more mistakes you see! It's fascinating to see the suggested changes from veterans in the book business - I've learned so much!
And welcome to Fox in Socks James, thanks so much for visiting and for the kind words.
Both styles are wonderful! I tend to lean to the heavier lines, but I do love the soft style (something I have to try for myself.)
I've said this many times, but I simply cannot wait for this book to come out. Seeing your sketches, how the characters develop, it has been really a great treat!

If I had to of chosen, I would've leaned this way, too. But, it would've been tough. Again, oh how I love these characters and their expressions!
Me too!! Yay! Now you can paint and enjoy :o)
I liked both styles - it would hard to choose. Well done, Paige.
