Well I took a creative break to recharge my batteries and did not draw a thing for several days. Let me tell you, it felt weird! My mind kept saying, "you REALLY should be doing some practicing today, you shouldn't be wasting time." But then I realized that rest is just as important as work. I felt much more inspired when I got back to it. Beforehand I was sort of forcing myself, and of course, the end result was uninspired.
Here are some character sketches in charcoal. I like this little boy a lot. I feel like he's someone I'd like to know. Can't wait to finish this in color!

Nothing is more engaging than a small child, boy or girl. Maybe the future holds a little one just like this of your very own. It reminds me of the time one of my first grade students decided he could be a superboy and fly. He put on his cape and climbed to the top of the TV set in his living room and took off.
The next day in school his show and tell was nine stitches in his chin, but he was still smiling.
He is adorable. I love him with his cape! I'm glad you rested and feel refreshed, that it always a good thing!
Great story Ginger :o)
You've just jumped straight back in there and made these lovely studies! You're such an inspiration - thankyou!
