Books!

Publishers don't always send free copies of books you've illustrated for them, especially if it was a job involving several hundred other artists. SO, I searched and searched until I found my two books I did for McGraw Hill last year - they were 40 bucks for one pack of six each, plus shipping. Ouch! Double ouch!

I was really happy though with the design and print quality. They did a great job!

Hey Paige, these look great. It drives me nuts that publishers don't always send samples...but I am glad you found copies!!

Great job Paige!
When these are collector's items after your Caldecott win you'll be glad you got them.

Great work Paige! And it is really worth the price to have these copies for yourself....but shame on the publishers for not sending you some copies. I remember seeing the sketches for some of these stories. It is so much fun to see them as published work! Those cats really crack me up.

Good for you! They look fantastic.

Sucks about paying so much for them, though.

Claim it on your taxes!
